The Secrets Behind the Busty Basics Top

Rachael here! I thought I would write you all a little letter telling the story of my pride and joy, the Busty Basics Top.
These tops were borne of the same frustration that I was experiencing year after year:
As a busty woman, it was nearly impossible to find good quality, well fitting basic tops that you could wear day-in, day-out. My options were:
- Size up to fit my bust, and feel like a tent,
- Don't size up, and end up with a crop top because my bust took up so much room,
- Go for a stretchy fitted style, but deal with cheap fabric stretching out and becoming transparent and baggy by the end of the day.
So I took the basic tops I wanted to buy (long sleeved, tanks, tees, etc.) and decided to solve the fitting issues by adding cup sizing - extra fabric only where you needed it and not everywhere else, additional length in the body, and two layers of fabric so they were durable and would hold their shape to the contours of our body.
We sampled quite a few times - checking the bust fit, the depth of the neckline, where the armhole would sit for maximum comfort, the body length, etc. We went through three or four rounds of samples in multiples sizes until we were finally happy with the result.
The Busty Basics Tops are the kind of endeavour that are hard for non-busty people to understand - it's just a shirt, right? How much could possibly go into designing a basic shirt?
But as usual, the busty community didn't let me down. As soon as we launched the collection, you guys were snapping them up.
I'm always listening to feedback from the community, and the amount of love you all are giving these tops is just the best gift I could ask for. It warms my heart to hear how all of these little design decisions have paid off and resulted in high quality, comfortable, wear-it-again-and-again basics for us busty gals.
I am so grateful to be surrounded by people who understand and support my vision, and to be able to provide the busty community with the calibre of garments they deserve!
